MPPT Boost Solar Charge Controller
Voltage-boost Solar Charge Controllers For Batteries up to 48V with a 12V Solar Panel
For applications where a solar panel voltage needs to be boosted to a higher battery voltage, we are proud to introduce the GV-Boost series of boost solar charge controllers with maximum power point tracking.
These new controllers will enable system configurations not otherwise possible. With the GVB24-8, for instance, customers have been able to use a 12V nominal solar panel with a 24V battery system. This new line of solar charge controllers have all of the industry-leading features of Genasun's GV-6 and GV-9 MPPT Solar Charge Controllers.
These controllers connect between your solar panel and batteries like any charge controller, but sophisticated electronics allow the controller to operate the solar panel at its most efficient voltage, resulting in significant gains in power. To learn how Maximum Power Point Tracking works and for a more detailed description of our products, have a look at About Maximum Power Point Tracking.
Genasun's GVB boost solar charge controllers allow flexibility in system design: the battery voltage can be chosen independently of the solar panel used. Systems using these controllers can pair a low-voltage solar panel with battery systems of 12, 24, 36, or 48V---and all with Genasun's Maximum Power Point Tracking to make the most use of the solar panel. Voltage boost is useful for any system with limited panel space and a high battery voltage. This is a common situation in electric vehicles that use 24, 36, or 48V batteries to lower wiring cost and weight, as well as solar streetlights. The voltage boost allows independent control of solar panels that would otherwise be wired in series in systems such as navigation buoys that have panels facing multiple directions.
